Winterhawks pound Cougars

--The Portland Winterhawks tallied three times on the
power-play and another shorthanded as they blasted
the Prince George Cougars 7-2 in the first of a double.
Ty Rattie scored twice and added an assist to give
him 50 goals and 100 points. The Winterhawks have
won seven straight to move within one point of WHL
leading Kamloops.
The 19-37-0-2 Cougars are in last place but are just
a point behind Everett and two back of Victoria & Seattle.
P.G. has 14 games left, including the rematch
Tuesday in Portland.
