Shania takes to the stand

 

In an unusual twist, an Ottawa doctor obsessed with Shania Twain interrupted the singer's court testimony today to announce he would plead guilty to his criminal charges. "Eilleen, you can trust me I'm going to plead guilty. I've been offended too much, your honour," said Dr. John Palumbo, rising from the prisoner's box at Old City Hall courts and addressing Twain by her original first name. At the time, Twain was testifying via closed circuit TV from an undisclosed location, possibly in Europe, at the doctor's trial for allegedly violating his court conditions by attending the March Juno awards in Toronto, where she appeared.
