Blake Shelton has been nominated for Favorite Country Artist at the 2012 People's Choice Awards. In addition, Shelton has been nominated for Favorite Male Artist and Album of the Year Red River Blue. Shelton faces some stiff competition in each category, facing off against such country contemporaries as Kenny Chesney andKeith Urban for Favorite Male Artist and Eric Church Chief and Lady Antebellum Own the Night for Album of the Year. Shelton faces his toughest competition in the category for Favorite Country Artist, going up again The Band Perry, Brad Paisley,Jason Aldean, Urban, Chesney, Lady A, Miranda Lambert,Rascal Flatts, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, and the Zac Brown Band. Performances for the People's Choice Awards have yet to be announced and are expected to come in the next few weeks. In the meantime, fans are encouraged to visit the People's Choice Award's official website to cast their vote.
