As CMA New Artist of the Year nominee Luke Bryan was celebrating his second consecutive #1 single for “Rain Is A Good Thing” with family, friends and the Nashville Music Row industry yesterday afternoon at BMI’s offices, he was surprised by Capitol Records Nashville label head Mike Dungan with the proclamation that his current album Doin’ My Thing has been certified Gold® by the RIAA for sales of 500,000.
