Kid Rock has to pay up

Kid Rock has been ordered to pay $40,000 to a Georgia man who filed a lawsuit against him in 2007 after an altercation in an Atlanta diner. Harlen Akins was awarded the cash in compensatory damages by a Decatur, Georgia, jury on Friday. Akins sought $6,000 in medical fees and an unspecified amount in punitive damages. The jury decided not to award compensation for the punitive damages but okayed the full sum for compensatory damages.
