Jake brings his new friend on the road

 

Jake Owen has opened up about his new companion on the road-a new bull dog called Merle. Owen previously toured with his bulldog Vern, for the past three years, but he told People that "Vern was out for a few years, but we retired him from the road. He became lonesome and ornery and mean. So it's about time for Merle to really go out there and take on the life of a desperado."
