Taylor sings her forgiveness

Taylor Swift sang a forgiveness song seemingly aimed at Kanye West at the MTV Video Music Awards last night. The performance was supposed to be a surprise, though word leaked out the day before the VMAs. The new song included the lyrics "lost your balance on the tight rope/it's never too late to get it back." and "I hope you remember today's never too late . . . to be friends with you . . . You're still an innocent." The song was seemingly inspired by last year's VMAs, when Kanye jumped on stage during Swift's acceptance speech for Female Video of the Year, saying that Beyoncé should have won the award. Since then, Kanye has apologized repeatedly, including a series of recent Twitter posts.
