The Canadian country superstar is the celebrity musician that Idol producers always have wanted most as their next judge, QMI Agency has learned. A day after it was reported that Jennifer Lopez was dropped from consideration because her demands “got out of hand,” and on the day reports claimed Twain was the program’s “Plan B” after Lopez, a source told QMI Agency on Thursday that the Timmins, Ont., native is the frontrunner now, and always has been. Judges Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres quit at the end of Season 9, during which Twain was a hit as guest judge and mentor.
