GARTH BROOKS LENDS A HAND TO HABITAT

Yesterday, Garth Brooks spent his day volunteering on a Habitat for Humanity build in Birmingham.  The superstar worked alongside homeowner Geri Smith and 300 volunteers to paint, hang towel racks, and lay sod. Brooks, is a longtime Habitat for Humanity volunteer and says, “One of the biggest misunderstandings about Habitat is that they give away homes for free,”  “They don’t. These people work their butts off.”
“It is a wonderful feeling to finish something and feel better than when you started. There are very few things in life and this is one of them,” he says.
