Hank leaves Jason hanging

 

Hank Williams Jr. surprised the audience at a live taping of the CMT Artist of the Year celebration when he left the stage abruptly during his performance with Jason Aldean. Williams and Aldean were performing the song "Tattoos on This Town" when Williams abruptly left the stage, leaving Aldean and the audience shocked. Aldean quickly regained his composure and re-started the song, which he then finished solo. A spokesman for Williams said that Williams was concerned that his performance-meant to honor his friend-was not doing justice to Aldean's performance and song, and that he thought it better to leave the stage rather than tarnish the song.
